Texas Grand Jury investigating Planned Parenthood

Just saw this on NBC. They cleared Planned Parenthood (yet again) and want to go after the slime ball that tried to smear PP. In Texas, no less.

But, you have to remember that conservatives live in their own delusional reality. If someone, somewhere, says that PP was selling baby parts to fund a takeover of Texas by the Federal government, by taking over Walmarts before imposing Sharia Law, the very fact that someone, somewhere said that means that it is true. Forever.

Repubs would have done better had they convened the grand jury in Louie Gohmert's district. I mean, Jade Helm was obviously a conspiracy between Obama & PP to poison the precious bodily fluids of everybody in Texas. It's a good thing that the Texas Rangers interfered or they'd be having gay abortions at the waffle houses.

Daleiden was also indicted on the count of prohibition of the purchase and sale of human organs, a class A misdemeanor

so he was trying to buy? and they indicted him for that?

What's funny about this is what the two were indicted for:

- Tampering with a Governmental Record, which in this case is (according to Texas law):

(3) a felony of the second degree, notwithstanding Subdivisions (1) and (2), if the actor's intent in committing the offense was to defraud or harm another.

So buying and selling baby parts in Texas is only a misdemeanor and the Lt. Gov. thought that it would be a great idea to use the grand jury to try and get an indictment against PP? Damn... it's a good thing the grand jury didn't waste its time and was able to also return a felony-level indictment! It really makes it worth all of the work. :biggrin: What's really hilarious is that you would think that the idiot behind this would have considered all of the laws involved in what he was doing.

At least we all now know that buying and selling baby parts in Texas isn't too horrible of a criminal offense...lol!

Naturally... what the courts or grand jury says or does isn't going to make one difference to them. They are still going to spin their "cause" as if any ruling against them doesn't matter.
It only matters when the law sides with their cause.
When that is not the case, they ignore and attack.
This will just instigate phase II, attack the grand jury.
Claim they are liberal and fail to uphold "God's" law.
Because how in hell could PP be right or innocent in the first place?
Just as with SS marriage, if they don't like the law, then they go after those interpreting the law.
How they are... it's actually quite disgusting.
And they have the nerve to accuse Obama of dictatorship.
The republican party well deserves to be as screwed up as they obviously are.

As a thoroughly lapsed Catholic one of my favorite pastimes when driving around is to tune in to IH Radio (24/7 Catholic radio). Why? So I can hear their spin on the 'news' and remind myself why I left that mess behind long ago. Today they were 'reporting' that this decision makes no legal sense in that if the two individuals who led the attempted sting were charged with attempting to buy baby parts then PP had to have been selling those same body parts for the two to have broken the law. They also gave out a web address for a petition to sign to stop this injustice...lol! Religious news is soooo lacking in truth and detail...

I've heard this same thing stated by forced-birthers since the decision. It's as if they don't understand that the GJ found that PP WAS NOT selling baby parts but rather these two nuts kept trying to procure them in a false manner. It's more likely that they know exactly why they lost and are just being disingenuous so as to further mislead their believers, keep their forced-birth profit mills in operation and sow discord among the rest our citizenry.

IOW, business as usual in the bible-thumper world.
