which is the ENTIRE reason he even got the A&M offer in the first place.
Lets not forget he turned around the TCU football program before he did the same to 'Bama.

Which is why I edited my post to say "PRIMARY reason."Originally posted by: LH

Let's also not forget that he has yet to stay in a head coaching job for more than a couple of years.Originally posted by: LH

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!</a>
Same general idea that Ivan Maisel writes about on ESPN.com.
Personally, I don't fault Franchione for leaving.
I DO fault him for the disrespect to the players he convinced to stay, and who played so hard for him this year.
The same players whose efforts, I might add, were the PRIMARY reason he even got the A&M offer in the first place.

Well Im happy.... as for fran not telling his players. He visited campus yesterday after meeting some aTm AD people in Dallas. I dont really know what happened but if the contract was right I bet he just decided there because he wasnt supposed to come to campus yesterday. We had an official press conference this morning. It would be stupid for him to fly back to alabama just to tell his players he was leaving. Like I said I dont know how it went down but Im happy we got a good coach finally here.

Well, you would think he would have to go back to Tuscaloosa at some point and he would tell his players face-to-face. I just think this was a chickensh!t move by Fran. He was telling everyone as late as Wednesday that he had every intention to stay at Alabama.
This is obviously something that has been in the works behind the scenes for a while. How often do you see a coach get permission to visit a school and announce that he is going with them the next day? Oh, check out aggiecoachfran.com as well. That name was set up on Nov 25th by the A&M 12th man. So, like I said, this has been something that has been in the works for a while.
I registered coachfraud.com yesterday my man!Originally posted by: Millennium
Franchione=Pussy
Not only do I wish him the worst of luck at A&M I hope he remembers what he did. Two words can sum up my entire feelings of the situation: Shaud Williams. He SAT OUT after he transferred from TCU(because he wanted Fran to be his coach) and now Fran is dicking him again. Fvck Franchione and his BS and lies. He didn't have the balls to face the team or the media from AL. What a pussy.
Also, I am NOT an Alabama fan. I bleed Orange and Blue, but this is one of the most classless acts I have ever seen a coach pull before.
someone go register fvckcoachfran.com.
It just keeps getting better and better.Texas A&M would not be a likely destination for any of those prospects, since Franchione had a clause in his Alabama contract barring him from recruiting such prospects for one year.
Section 5.01 (k) of Franchione?s contract says that he ?shall not for a period of one (1) year after such termination without cause contact or otherwise seek to recruit any high school athlete previously contacted or recruited by the University, unless such athlete has been recruited or contacted by any new institution employing (Franchione) prior to the notice of termination."

Recruiting Pitch Surprises Blue Chip Prospect
Wonder if this violates the following clause in his contract:It just keeps getting better and better.Texas A&M would not be a likely destination for any of those prospects, since Franchione had a clause in his Alabama contract barring him from recruiting such prospects for one year.
