Tex Murphy games are now on Good Old Games! This is pure awesomeness! I had the hardest time getting Under a Killing Moon to work well with Dos Box, but maybe GoG is better than I am. (I still have the 4 CDs sitting next to my computer from my last attempt) For $10, it looks like it is worth a try at least.

I think I will get the whole set when they get the last two up (they are missing Pandora Directive and Overseer now).

LOL...oh man. I remember playing mean streets on my Tandy 1000RL. It took like 40 years to load a sequence but some how that game pushed voices and sound effects through the beep-boop PC speaker. Too bad Tandy only supported 16 whopping colors.

That and Eye of the Beholder were the coolest games on had on that PC. I had to upgrade the ram so EotB could make use of Tandy 16 color.

Access (or at least the developers of the Tex Murphy series) is actually making a new game now, altough it isn't a Tex Murphy game. It is an adventure game that has to do with Tarrot, although I haven't been following its development. Hopefully it captures the fun and humor of the Tex Murphy games.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but GoG has Part 1 & 2 of Tex Murphy up for free right now! I've never played these, but I downloaded them and will hunker down to play them over the holidays. :awe:

I can't provide a link since I am at work. Sorry all.

AWESOME! Thanks for letting me know. I have never played them either, and definitely would like to give them a play through.

Just how free is this free?

Well I logged in, downloaded the game, installed it and that is as far as I have gotten so far since I had to come in to work.

Edit: I should also mention I have no purchased anything from them before, but I had an account from when they were beta testing and it still let me download the games. Keep meaning to buy some games from there, but I have no time to play anything at the moment.
