i remembered a great 2 player tetris on my 286 back in the days. It was a chinese version of tetris and had dual tetris arenas in all its VGA (256 color) glory. Looked very good and it had AI that ranked from rookie to god. Could send 2 to 4 liner's back and forth with great weapons and stuff that disabled/hampered your opponents. Too bad later it was discovered to have some monkey.B virus on it but it was the best version I had ever played.

There was an awesome Tetris variant for the Mac back in the early 90s called "Wesleyan Tetris", IIRC. It pulled all sorts of dirty tricks and mocked you when you made errors. Hours of fun!

Looked at some reviews, 4.6 on 10! crappy multiplayer...

any others?

Well, never said it was good...

Eh, the gameplay itself isn't too bad. Just for singleplayer they try making this whole plot about about these alien cube people....

Should've just stuck to some russian buildings in the background with some nice midi music playing.

Should be able to find it used for cheap somewhere....my wife has it for gamecube....I've played it, not too terrible.
