I never had to help people to test their RAMS till now. How do I go about doing it? My friend wants to check whether his Corsair DDR400 RAM works or not, because his computer is out of commission. My system is currently using Asus A8N mobo and Crucial DDR 500. How should I go about testing it? Take out my 2 DIMM and put his 2 DIMM in or just add his 2 DIMM to the missing slots?
 
Ah yea i know about memtest. But where should I plug the RAM to. On my existing DIMMs? or on the empty slots?
