I'm getting a new board tomorrow, and I want to test my ram before installing windows for the first time, what should I go for? I want it to be able to boot from usb flash drive, and does it have ot be FAT32 or NTFS?
 
memtest86. I believe Vista has a memtest utility as well. Installing Windows is by itself a very good test of your memory, as it tends to be very sensitive to bad memory.
