Testing Power Supply

My newly built computer just kinda crashed. How can I test the power supply, any websites that have a tutorial or something?
Abit NF7-s

XMS 512MB
WD HD 800jb
9500pro (not modded)

The computer had an error and crashed in windows, I had to restart it. Upon doing so I went into bios to make memory timings more ocnservative. But the computer locked and I had to restart it again, but it did not Post.

I did all the CMOS clearing stuff, took out battery, and what not, but to no avail. Then I went to my friends and borrowed an old crappy MOBO that was already flaky. Booted up with video card, and CPU only, then turned off and attached HD, and DVD drive, then it did not boot. Took HD and DVD back off still did not boot.

I don't know if a Video card can kill MOBO's or if the HD can, anyway the HD is in another computer working fine now. So I feel it is either CPU, MOBO, or Power supply but I don't know.

I hooked the broken MOBO's up to a different PS, but it stilll did not boot, so unless the boards are killed I don't know what the heck is going on.

I don't know how you want to test the power supply. To get it to fire up without connecting it to a mobo, jumper the GREEN wire in the ATX plug with any BLACK wire. Do this with it unplugged!. After you place the jumper, the power supply will start when you plug the power cable to it. You can check the +12 and +5 with a multimeter then. Good luck................
