Why do you mean you wouldn't be able to post from school otherwise, more specifically? Do they block the computers from the internet (or vice versa)?

My school uses a Bess filtering proxy. They block all the usual inappropriate things with URL and content filters, and my school blocks message boards and chats as well. :p
I'm assuming they use a URL/IP filter for the AnandTech forums, as I cannot get here no matter how I specify the address. So, I've just set up the router here to forward port 80 to my machine, where I have an AnalogX utility set up to map port 80 to 216.151.100.105, which is the IP of the forums server. :) Hope SWBell's DHCP lease holds out. :(

Actually, there are two people in the school capable of this, even if it is a simple thing. Luckily, he and I are friends. :D It's been three and a half years, the network admin knows to phear us by now. :p:D;)

[edit] Check this, if Bess can block the new, improved technique, I'll be surprised. I'm not using the standard ports anymore, I have port 1000 mapped to the forums, and 1001 mapped to Somethingawful. :) I could offer to add others' favorite web pages... :p

Fear not, snowy, the worst that could happen would be my network access removed for the rest of the year, but I'd still need my two programming class logons, so... :)
