Testing network spped

I have 2 Win XP Home machines on a network. (Also a Direcway DW6000 modem and a HP5850 printer utilizing its built in 10/100 ethernet port). I want to be able to test my actual throughput over my two computers. Is there any way to do this with a free application? (In other words, a way other thatn just sending a file form one comp to the other and counting the seconds.)

Qcheck if you trust it.

Or just setup IIS and/or an FTP server on one machine, client on the other, though you don't really need any third party software. For the server or client software.

I have a little tool I got from somewhere (no idea where) called SasiXP that does this very good, and can use both FTP, Ping, and normal file transfer to do speed tests/connectivity tests. You can also adjust the numbe of times it runs the test (to get a good average) and file sizes used.
