that was way too easy. i think they give you a high score just so youll feel good and buy the full report, lol.
 
not to say it wasnt easy. i had just written my score and I looked down and jordo said they inflated the scores, so i dont wanna say til i see someoen else who thought they did good

That wasen't even close to a true IQ test. I Counted 4 trick questions, and that was just on a skimthrough while I was eating 🙂 The scores mean nothing, sorry. I have taken a real IQ test, and the scores were not even close.

I thought the questions were easy, but i don't think they inflate the scores... mostly becuase i took a real test and got 30 points higher than on that stupid one i just took

Spoken like a true College guy 🙂 I also magicly got 128, but I actually tried. I think that it automaticly gives you a score between 120-130, as all my "christmas treeing" gave me acores in that range. ( 6 trys )

Not to say this test is accurate in general, but it was fairly accurate for me. Scored 151. Way back in elementary, when I took a real one, I got 140s.

You can't call the test BS just because you christmas tree'd it and scored low 100s. Every guess has a 50% chance of being correct. Assume you get half right in lightning fast time and a score in the low 100s doesn't seem unreasonable.

The only problem with a short IQ test like this is a wider margin of error.
 
No offence, but the gap here is about as large as the grand canyon. I mean, just look at this one question. I will use it as an example.

"If a tree branch can hold three people and John weighs twice as much as Adam, and Rachel weighs half as much as Adam, then Rachel, John and Adam can all sit together on the tree branch safely."

By definition, they are 3 people, so they can sit on the branch safely. What is there to dispute? branch holds 3 people. We have John, Adam, and Rachel. 3 people. Unless I missed something. Weight is never discussed. How do we know that John is not a 4 month old baby? If you do the math on this ( how they want you to mind you ) then John = 2 Adam =1 Rachel = 1/2. Therefore 2+1+.5 = more than 3, so branch not hold. Now if it said that John is twice a normal person, than it would hold true. The correct answer to this question should be true, but if you check "true" then your score goes down, if all the other questions are answered the same way.

It's numbers. They don't lie 🙂

evadman, I think the answer to that question is true. For what it's worth, changing the answer from true to false dropped by test score by 12!? Perhaps using the back button screws up the calculation. Who knows.

poncekim, your score went down by 12 because time matters, and the time since the start was probably like 1 minute off by the time you looked at your score, looked at all the others, changed one, then hit submit.

Sammyboy, I know time matters. I switched them over twice quickly to eliminate time as a variable. So, the difference in time was a mere 2-3 seconds. Time wasn't a factor here. I played around with a couple other answers and seemed to get a penalty of -3 for other questions. Go figure.
