I'm stumped on level 4.. I have it decompiled, but I just can't figure out what the username/password/url are.

Level 3 is harder than I first thought. Viewing the Javascript is useless. Even if it worked it would send you to a page that says it isn't level 4.

NOT LEVEL 4

It isn't this easy. Try again :)

I didn't know java and was able to beat these. I did it a while ago. Problem is you will see yourself on level 5, someone mentions they are going to 'try' and 10 mins later they come back and say they beat it.

I can't remember which level or the puzzle but it was not the last one or so that gave me the most difficulty.

They are nice challenges, don't give up and search for answers....hopefully no one posts spoilers either.

POSSIBLE SPOILER FOR LEVEL 2 (and question for those who did it)

For level 2, did anyone else open the swf in something and get the next page that way, or are you meant to use a password/username?

Yes, I did that. I also entered the password as well. Takes you to the same page, though you do kind of want the addy so you can get past level 3, which may be why they included it.

Perhaps because you're actually viewing the java code in the webpage.... :p

P.S. Since I know this requires a Packet Sniffer, VB decompiler and Java decompiler what proggys do you guys recommend for each?

HTS (hack this site) is a lot harder? I can't get past level 2 on this one. Then again I didn't try all that hard aside from view source...

(and I got to about lvl 10 out of 12 on try2hack)

How do you get past level 1? I don't feel like trying all this, just curious as to how they are having you 'hack' it.

Looking at insecure code. Massively insecure. The password is basically given to you.

Just think of the most obvious method.

I thought about checking the source but for some reason my IE doesn't do anything when I click on view>source so I just gave up. Anyway to fix that?

what progs do you suggest for the packetsniffer, decompiler, etc. Still stuck at the password prompt on 3.
