They don't say loss leader anywhere on the paper.

Just flip to the classifieds section, there should be car ads jumping out at you.

Are the prices below MSRP sticker?

Do they have a VIN number or say "1 at this price?"

Then that's a loss leader ad.

Thanks for the info on LL...been wondering what that meant. 🙂

I think a lot of people have been wondering. I've wanted to start a loss leader FAQ website but I can't think of a catchy domain name.

Any suggestions on a loss leader domain?

LossLeaders"R"Us??
BottomCarDollar.com??
WhyPayMSRP.Com??
15percentunderMSRP.com??
RossMANSLossLeaders.com??
MSRPisforSuckers.com??

I got my 99 sentra gxe limited edition as a loss leader... paid 11k cash for it (insurance money after someone hit me) .. sticker was almost 16k... I think I got a good deal on it since it has power everything and I have had no problems with it.

The only thing about the Mazda 6 V6 is that it has a Ford engine. Personally, I would stay away from that mess.

1) The Duratec 3.0L is a fine engine, and is being used in quite a few models without issue.
2) The suspension, chassis, electrical system, interior, exterior, head/valvetrain and probably a host of other accessory systems are all Mazda designed/sourced. There are a million parts that could go wrong in a car, of which the engine/drivetrain makes up only a fraction.
