Test drove a 2008 Audi S5

What a car. Not "shit your pants" power, but not a slouch either. The luxury was amazing. The ride was amazing. The handling was amazing (albeit I didn't push the corners too hard due to cold and wet roads). So many electronic gadgets that it would take almost a lifetime to figure everything out....took me 15 minutes to figure out how to turn down the fire that was my seat heater.

When the time comes, now I'm not sure I want a 660hp Shelby vs the luxury of an Audi...an Audi that I have always been a fanboi of.

Also test drove an Audi S4 2005 the same day. Seemed much more powerful, but probably due to the fact it was slightly modded and a smaller car.

I've loved the S5 ever since it was announced. I'll have one someday.

It's a full luxo-boat with more than enough power for road use The fact that it gets dominated by other vehicles in actual performance is kind of beside the point of an S5. But it also begs the question : why not an A5 and light mods?
