Tesla Model S

fisker still looks better and it's already for sale

I think its supposed to cost twice as much as well. Not saying I wouldn't take the Fisker over it, as I would, but they're hitting different market segments.

I'm starting to come around to Tesla, I think its a mix of general improvements as well as Elon Musk having less to do with things. They definitely seem to be in better hands now. They're definitely improving in production, although still bits and pieces where you can tell they're not up to the level of competing on build with established car companies. Its much less kit car looking than the Roadster (to be fair partnering with Lotus isn't the best as far as fit and finish goes, or at least in the past). I'm still reserving judgement until I see that they really will sell the car for the price they claim with the performance/specs they claim as well.

It's an electric car that actually looks nice. They've kept up the luxury touring car look. Definitely not for smug environmentalists that want a "green" car that stands out in a bad way. I think Tesla are playing their cards right.

Tesla was started from the very beginning to be a stand-out brand that could offer more than the competition. If you take the price of the base model Tesla S, you have a comparable price to an Audi but with an all-electric maintenance-free system. I know what I'd choose.
