Tesla kills S & X cars

Tesla will continue producing the Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck. In 2025, the company sold more than 1.6 million Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, making them two of the best-selling EVs in the world. By comparison, Tesla sold just 50,850 units of the Model S, Model X, and Cybertruck combined.

Switching investments to:

1. Optimus robots
2. Self-driving cars
3. xAI

...but not the Cybertruck??

I think even Musk realizes that Tesla has produced more Cybertrucks than the market will absorb.

No, that's the thing...he's keeping the CT line alive, along with the 3 & Y. Just getting rid of the big sedan & gull-wing SUV.

Where is the all new and improved Roadster? Production was supposed to start in 2020!

Optimus robots and self-driving cars will likely always be "next year" based on historical performance and Musk's penchant for lying.
xAI isn't part of Tesla.

Wait I have an idea! What about Optimus Robots DRIVING the cars??

The S and X are both incredibly old car designs, even if you considered the facelifts. It's a bit wild that such old designs still have buyers, but I guess you don't have much competition in the "luxury" BEV space. Although debatable if these are true luxury cars, they are priced that way. 🙂

To be fair, the S design has aged well IMHO despite its development starting around 2007. Almost two decades ago lol.

Even the Model 3 is quite dated, by contemporary standards.

The only S I haven't tried is the Plaid. Zero to 60 in 1.99 seconds is WILD lol. The 2.5-second one feels like getting punched in the chest haha

First one reminds me of the Silverado EV in a relative sense - very smooth lines as opposed to hard edges.

Dune buggy style is cool, i dig it.

Last one is probably the most traditional cross of the CT style with a traditional truck style.

They all would be miles ahead ofnthe existing tragedy

I was shocked at the OG, but it grew on me over time:

What we got was the Temu version:

1. Modified size & shape
2. No 500-mile battery
3. No $39k version
4. No electric ATV
5. No bed-tilt function
6. No bed ramps
7. No lightbar
8. No meaty-looking tires
9. The "ice katana" giant windshield wiper (which I actually think is pretty cool lol)

What we got was...a marshmallow: (STILL DON'T HATE IT THO!!)
