So Elon Musk does not like unions, and therefore a conflict has emerged in the Scandinavian countries, which might spread to Germany.

Both McDonald's and Ryan Air has tried to fight the unions before and lost. (Also McDonald's is very happy with their union agreement)

He has made the claim that the reason he does not like unions is that they represent an antagonism between workers and management that should not exist, that the reason unions exist is because of management us against them mentality. he has given the management only elevator at some GM or Ford plant, I forget but think GM, that would never exist at Tesla. He claims that he knows and works with his employees gives them stock options, has made many of them millionaires etc as examples of why only management failure causes the divisiveness in a company that leads to unionization.

This makes a very logical argument in my opinion, a big potential flaw in which, also in my opinion, might be the potential ego arrogance that comes with business acumen and wealth transferring over onto a self assumption that one is also an accomplished decent and wise person with regards to the understanding of what one's workers actually are feeling about your leadership.

What happens if these socialist European countries go ahead and form unions providing direct proof, according to his own moral position, that it is the result of his own failure. We will perhaps see who he actually blames if it happens.

That is a good question McDonald's entered Denmark in 1981, had to make deals with the unions in 1989 and in 2023 they are still in business.

I was a union worker nearly all my adult life. I've always said that not EVERY company NEEDS a union...but, if the workers WANT one, then they SHOULD be allowed to have one.

I've always been a member as well, even now when I'm part of management. But it is still the norm around here.

Dunno if it got as much coverage, but back in 08? or so Wally world tried to break in to Germany, they even had a whole building set up in the Ramstein area. Never could get past the unions though, so ended up abandoning it entirely.
