One of the packages was found aboard a cargo plane in Dubai, the other in England. Preliminary tests indicated the packages contained the powerful industrial explosive PETN, the same chemical used in the Christmas attack, U.S. officials said. The tests had not been confirmed.

it's weird the way America gets its panties in a bunch over terrorism. the British lived with random terrorist attacks from the IRA for decades, but they took the stiff upper lip approach, and didn't really change their lifestyle in any major way.

My lifestyle hasn't changed in any major way, how has yours?

If they found a bomb on a plane back in the 60's, I'm not sure what would have happened differently, other than the fact that we are better equipped to deal with it now.

He hasn't, he's done the opposite, he's continued the same policy you were celebrating years ago. He's expanded the war in Afghanistan, has a secret war going on in Pakistan, and has dropped bombs in other countries like Yemen as well.

I wish we did live in the fantasy world you all do. I wish Obama had taken on a different foreign policy, and a different domestic policy regarding the "war on terrorism." But he hasn't, and when you make claims like the one above, you only make yourself look like a damn fool.

Home Secretary Theresa May has confirmed a device found at East Midlands airport could have brought down an aircraft. Following the COBRA meeting May said the device found in the UK was "viable" and that the threat level in the UK is severe meaning an attack in the country is highly likely. The Home Secretary also said that she has been in regular contact with PM and restrictions will be placed on all flights from Yemen. The parcel sparked a terror alert at East Midlands airport, on the Derbyshire and Leicestershire border.
