That's gotta obviously be fake.... there's no way any cell phone call would be getting through at 11am the day of september 11th.

Not funny. Believe it or not, I applied for a debt consolidation/home improvement loan on 9-09-01. The loan was approved but took a couple days to process. Got the check 9-12-01. Kinda creepy, but the whole attack forever changed a lot of people and I for one become more focused on my family. Meanwhile I find my wife (now ex-wife) was having an internet romance and the attacks made her decide she needed to start a new life before something took it all away. Sent $1300 of the loan discreetly to her new beau on 9-18-01. Ain't that a kick in the teeth? Was living in an apartment with him throughout the divorce proceedings and all. He hasn't had a job since July of last year and was living off her.

We are now divorced and since I was more focused on making sure the kids were taken care of than my selfish interests as she was, I have primary custody of the 2 kids and she pays me support.

P.S. while investigating the affair, I was in contact with his girlfriend @ the time. He's got a little winky too. Go figure....

Now I'm an asshole for focusing on making sure my family is taken care of? While she's off with a loser? Or is it because I tracked down his info to find out what kind of an ass is going to potentially be around my kids when they are visiting her. Like that fact that he's a deadbeat dad and owes his ex $12k in back child support. Like that the judge in his divorce disallowed him from seeing his kids @ all because of abuse. (which he apparently WASN'T cleared of) Now who sounds like an asshole? Maybe you should have some basis for your comments before spouting your yap. I'm not against criticism, but it should be warranted.

I should have clarified that I wasn't speaking of your situation but rather my own, I lost 195 pounds that had been nothing but trouble for ages , best move I'd made in yrs ,of course we had no children together... thank god! At any rate my comment wasn't aimed at you

Funny you mentioned losing the 195 lbs of trouble. The attorneys had fun with the physical desriptions in the paperwork. Me 6'1" 190lbs Her 5'3" 210 lbs. Granted she did give birth to 2 kids, but that only last for just so long. BTW just noticed your sig, go figure, she's a redhead too.

From the sounds of things you didn't lose much that was worth anything but I'm sorry for your situation, hope she at least tries to see the kids and have some sort of relationship with them

I'm another of the divorce statistics. I got dumped not too long after 9-11.

Let me get this straight, you got dumped by a fat hoe with 2 kids? Did you take out the home improvement loan to reinforce the floors?
:D

Most definitely! I've found I have more time to spend with my kids now and have gotten much closer with them. In her defense, she was about 140 when we married but after the second child, she became very depressed (clinically) and just kept gaining weight making matters worse. I'm glad she's out of my house but now everytime I drop the kids off with her, I feel like I'm leaving them in a deserted parking lot. They are a 5 YO boy and 3 YO girl. Always asking me why they can't be @ mommy's more. What can I tell them, because mommy didn't want you around as much as I?

I know this has gotten a little off topic now since the thread started as a joke thread, but that IS what "Off Topic" is for.

The attack that came and the ones that will likely follow have made us all a little more concerned in general.

Is talking about your ex-wife and new boyfriend in the forum some sort of therapy?

If that ever happened to me, I'd kill her.

Sue the terrorists I guess.

Say what's that legal word meaning "deprived of getting it on with spouse"? You can actually sue for loss of...getting it on. I think it starts with a "C".....grrrrrr...

Not that I care, but does this line mean that you have a little winky as well as him?
:)

I actually had thought I did, but have since her been told otherwise. :)

Its "Off Topic", but given the magnitude of you're situation, your post basically hijacks the thread (no pun intended).

Your's is one helluva situation. :(
