Would you say that the tech deals lately are just terrible?

I have a "deal" for you

on a serious note, ebay is your friend. Stay away from the apple store.

They are not as good as they used to be.

Monitor and videocard deals have been great lately.

This. Also, you can get a pretty good video card for > $100 now, as long as you're not expecting to play everything at 2500x1500 w/16XFSAA or whatever.

I think you have the caret in the wrong way...

Anyway, hard drives deals have not been great lately. Until I see a 1TB Western Digital BLACK for like $70, hard drive deals suck. :p All I have been seeing are those shitty 5400RPM Green Power hdds go for that.

Video card deals have been great though... I saw like a 4870 or something for only like $100? Wtf....

Monitors maybe... they are just trying to get of the old models I think. The dells have not been as cheap as they should. (Ultrasharp series at least) It was like $430 for the 24" ultrasharp (after tax). Totally not worth it for a two year old monitor.

^^ Heh, you're right, I reversed it :)

I have a WD Green 1TB, and it runs great. The areal density means it's faster in real-world use than most 500GB 7200RPM Drives :)

I would tend to agree if I had the money to spend on them! :p

For the fellow Canadians here are any of these Canada Day deals good?

http://ncix.com/

I've been out of the hardware buying loop for a while so I no longer know what a good price looks like. Some of those look good to me.

Why do you care tridentBOY?
Not like you have $ or life anyways.

5400rpm 1tb HDDs are not shitty.

There have been a few deals under $70 for the Hitachi 1tb drives, which actually outperform the WD Blacks.

32inch TV for 300 is pretty damn nice. 350 dollar laptops are also slick. If you offered those prices 3 years ago, people would have a heart attack!

I find all tech is insanely cheap now days. It's just that we're so used to it so we keep expecting even more deals.

Hard drives in incredibly cheap, I can't believe how they've gone down in price, and up in capacity.
