I've been to a hyundai dealership... named Scott's Hyundai in El Monte, CA. They are a really small dealership, but they were pretty awesome since the guy I talked to, the manager, was pretty low pressure. I test drove the top of the line V6 Sonata with all the trimmings and I have to say that it is definitely a good feature/price ratio. The car was VERY roomy and all the lil things they put inside the interior were pretty badass. Of course, I wasn't really looking to buy at all. I had already bought an RSX-S from the local Acura dealership in May, but if I were to look for a new car for my family... if I had a family of course, I would choose the Sonata. But I promised myself that I would buy a more luxurious car next time since I'll be driving the cars for the long run, so might as well have something good to begin with.
Overall, dealerships are very YMMV. I still think Hyundai is a POS company, but the Sonata has gotten me to think twice about labeling them a crap company. If they keep things up, and with them wanting to offer a luxury type of vehicle to the mass market, I would not be surprised if I considered a Hyundai car as a future vehicle.
