That's pretty cheap. The only thing is that 3rd round pick. I think they were/are already short on draft picks in 2012 and now this. The thing is, if they are going to want him as a QB, he'll do nothing for the first year at least b/c he's out 5 games with suspension. Oh well, Raiders stink and their fans are the worst.....and I live in the Bay Area. I would never take my kid to a Raiders game.

Wow - I've taken my daughter to two Raiders games and have had zero issues. Its a football game, I don't expect it to be a wine & cheese fest. The fans are passionate about their team!

Al Davis has how many super bowl appearance, how many super bowl wins again? He arguably had the best draft of the NFL in 2010. Team went 8-8 last season and was undefeated in the division. Also hired the first black coach in the NFL - Art Shell.

The Raider faithful love Al for all his accomplishments and making the Raiders who they are.
Coach of the year
Commissioner
Owner - 3 Superbowl wins & 5 Superbowls played in

Can't blame JaWalrus on Al - every NFL scout had him being the #1 pick and #1 QB in the draft. Who knew the guy was gonna sip the sizzurp and hit the buffet with Janikowski every day while ignoring the playbook.

Pryor was a great pick-up for a 3rd round pick, probably would have gone first round if he stayed in college and played another year at Ohio State. $2.5M over 4yrs is nothing! And the Raiders will be getting a bunch of picks back for the 2012 draft.

Yeah, they did not know JaWalrus was addicted to the Purple Drank. At least TP is just a stoner :).

Really?

Why the hate man?

AFC conference champs in 2002
Super Bowl Champs in '76, '80 & '83
12 AFC West Championships

And we probably lost our conference championship in 2001 due to the infamous "tuck rule"

Team of the decades!

Have you been to a Raider or 49er game lately?

It used to be more family friendly, but not so much today.

Yes - 1st Raiders Preseason game this year! No issues what so ever!

Very family friendly - lots of families out enjoying themselves and having a good time.

Preseason is a bad scene though - night games = bad
cheap tickets = bad

You must have been dressed in black and white only, no red or blue I take it?

My daughter wore my Plunkett Authentic throwback jersey

But no chance I would show up to a Raiders game in the opposing teams colors.
The heckling is pretty severe.

As a Buckeye fan living in Columbus, I've seen every minute of every game Prior ever played in college. The guy had a fantastic career in terms of wins/losses, won big games, beat the rival wolverines like a rented mule etc etc.... but overall, there just always seemed to be something missing. I still can't put my finger on it, but he never seemed to have the determination/passion/drive to completely dominate.

I wish him the best in the pros, but I don't see him ever being a successful QB in the NFL. He has tremendous (and very deceptive) speed, but he doesn't have the quickness or pocket awareness some of the good QB's have.

You only get the beat down if you stand up for yourself. Usually its just peanuts being hucked at you all game and the chant of "you suck Donkey Dick" at Broncos games.

So, that type of behavior is acceptable/normal to you?

Meh, I guess I'm getting old, or don't really understand Hispanic gang culture :\

It seems like all this shit that's been happening in the bay area is Norcal/Socal gang bullshit. The 9er v Raider game last weekend just exemplifies it.

What % of draft picks are successful in the NFL? For $2.5M the Raiders got a bargain!

Al Davis loves taking chances -sometimes they work out!

We all see TP contributing later this season on the Wild Card. lets just hope he doesn't gain 50lbs, like the Sizzurp, and forget how to read a playbook!

I've been going to Raiders games since 1999 - I guess you grow numb. You can get Dos Equis on tap, the best Carne Asada off the grill, listen to Too Short over the PA, and have a great time.

If you want wine and cheese go to a Sharks game. We did run for our lives out of a FSU Bulldogs game back in the early 2000's - that stadium was rough!

I don't think it was a horrible pick or anything, I'm just saying I've never been blown away by Prior, so I doubt he's going to do better at the next level. He was probably worth a 3rd round gamble though.

As a Buckeye alum living in the SF Bay area, I agree.

His senior year in Columbus would probably have helped whit the development of his throwing motion. He really has a tendency to "shot put" the ball on shorter throws. He seemed to start to grow out of last season. It's a shame that his mentor (Sarniak), his mother, encouraged breaking rules - fucking over the entire program, his coach and team mates.

I still hopes that he has success, even though he is a stain on a good football coach and program.

LOL, I'm a Sharks season ticket holder. I usually have the Gordon Biersch Marzen, with the garlic frys :). No wine for me at a hockey game.

I have yet to be puched, stabbed or shot in the parking lot. Although Neil Young pushed me to one side last year when he was pushing his son threw the upper loge door :)

I've yet to have a problem at a Raiders game - show up in the team colors and people open up their tailgates to you, give you a beer, and talk about the great days of Raider Football!

Never been stabbed or shot - no one has even punched me or my family.

Great times! We've sat in the 100, 200's, and even the 300's - never Mt. Davis though!

300's are definitely a bit more rough - expect to have the homies smoking a bit of weed, doing the crip walk shuffle, and plenty of foul language.

Wow, really? So if I wore one of my old Brian Sipe or Berney Kosar jerseys in the parking lot, during Raider/Browns game I would be good?

I'm not being a smart ass. I understood what you meant the first time.

It seems that you are OK with people at games with opposing team colors being attacked whether it be punched/stabbed/shot? I'm just trying to understand your point of view.

My next door neighbor is a former NF gang member and he won't even go to Raiders games anymore. Of course he may still be on probation :hmm:

I've been to many games over the past 12yrs and never seen extreme violence like you are speaking of - read my post above where I said heckling, and throwing of peanuts at the opposing teams fans are the worst I've seen.

98% of fans behave themselves.

If you walk out in a Browns jersey after a 28-7 whipping of the Raiders talking shit - you might have some problems. But I would expect that in pretty much any stadium.

Oh - and there is no such thing a former NF gang member. For life holmes!

I work in uptown Oakland - never had an issue.

Back on topic :D

I wish TP all the best and has a great NFL career, and good life. I also hope that I may see him again in person, if I dare go to a Raiders game :D.
