but why would they send a terminator back to kill someone who doesnt exist? even if they succeed, does that mean future time john connor all of a sudden evaporates? or does it open up another timeline where john connor doesnt exist and the terminators reign supreme? but what if someone who is smarter and stronger than john connor takes his place in the alternate timeline universe? quite a gamble for the machines. or john connor is birthed by a transient who abandons him as an infant and he raised by another family. or another scenar-- oh look ive gone and gotten cross-eyed...
