Terminator 2 isn't as good as I remember

gorcorps

aka Brandon
The kid is an abysmal actor and it's pretty hard to watch whenever he's talking. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't give him so many lines. Just shut up and shoot more guns

Edit: whoops, should have been in OT

Everything is better when you are a kid and for all intensive purposes an idiot about life. It's easier to suspend disbelief when you don't have a solid understanding about how the world works or haven't seen enough movies to know the good from the bad.

Except for Hackers. That movie just rocks. 😛

man - it's not "intensive purposes". it's intents and purposes

He was an annoying whiny kid because he was SUPPOSED to be an annoying whiny kid (representing a kid growing up in foster homes and a psycho mother growing up in the 80's. He was emo before emo was emo).

t2 is still awesome to this day you are insane. that kid is a pretty bad actor though, there are some painful scenes of his to watch. but it was like that all along. movie is so awesome

Yea, the few spots where he under-performs his role didn't spoil the bigger fact that overall T2 was/is a classic, great film.

I love Hackers, watch it at least once every few months.

I liked Hackers because it contained quite a few real-world things like trashing, social engineering, using manuals to get default passwords and get into systems that weren't properly set up. But then of course skateboarding sysadmin shows up with his 3D mainframe and several other glaring tech issues. But it was an enjoyable movie overall with a great sound track and a young Angelina Jolie.

The aliases used still make me cringe though, along with the "hacker fight" early in the movie and it's one liners.

You were probably being sarcastic though. At least it's not 'The Net' where the main character couldn't even be coached to say modem correctly.

Yeah I tried to rewatch Knight Rider and Saved By The Bell on Netflix and it was pretty unbearable. Things are not always the same in modern times. But if they put Baywatch on there I may try harder.

Hackers was just relevant at the time because have the thing at the time people had no idea what they were referring to.

Was funny in the day.

The blind guy in sneakers was total BS IMHO, but it was still a decent movie then.

Isn't one I watch now and then like Blade Runner, Snatch, Dr. Strangelove, Saving Private Ryan, etc.

I overlook bad acting because everyone acts differently and shows different facial expressions in life despite what's going on. Even with home made movies, it doesn't really bother me. I for example have a bit of a poker face and tend to stay calmer even during tradgedy than what others may think I should.

Shut yo' mouth! That is a timeless classic! That movie is the only reason I owned a black jacket and a pair of sunglasses as a kid. "Come with me if you want to live". The greatest movie EVER!!!!
