Terminal Services for Windows 2000 Pro?

Just wondering how I would go about seting up the terminal services server on a windows 2000 machine? I looked under add/remove programs, but it's not there. I know at one point in time I had actually installed terminal services on my workstation. But now for some reason I can't find the install to be able to do that. Where do I need to go to get the Terminal Services server so I can run it as a service on one of my win2kpro boxes?

Only 2000 server includes TS, not Pro.

You have this backwards. You can install the client on either pro or server (there are clients from everything from dos to xp). You can only install the server component on 2k server. Even if you found a way to use the server components on workstation, any other attempt to get around this is a violation of the license.

So if that's a violation of the licence, do you have any other bright ideas on getting terminal services style access into my workstation over the internet? And don't say PC anywhere. That's so insecure it's disgusting.

Of course Terminal services isn't much better, but I can work around the bugs in Terminal Services. 🙂

Care to elaborate on that? It's simply not true once you configure it (pcA supports alot of different authent schemes some more secure than others, just use a secure one).

Any chance you can upgrade that machine to XP? Not the easiest solution, but if your going to wind up buying something maybe XP would be a better purchase?
