Don Fernando Anejo. It's roughly $200 a bottle, $15-20 a shot if you can find it. I have a botle of it right now, in a cobalt blue glass and a wooden box. Beats anything anyone has posted above me.

but for daily all around drinking patron is just fine, anejo for casual shots, silver for many shots and drinking games 🙂

Funny you mentioned Don Fernando since this is what we were sipping on New Year's. Great tequila! But you might want to shop elsewhere since I was able to pick up this bottle for around $95 for 750mL. (haven't ever seen a bigger bottle).

Also, for something more affordable, then try Partida. Great taste for about $55/btl. Or try Herradura for less than $40/btl.

they don't make a larger bottle than 750. Also what kind was it? their Anejo or Reposado? I can get a bottle of Reposado in the shorter clear glass bottle for $100 here. The anejo is the same bottle is about $140. The Anejo in the cobalt blue hand blown bottle (comes in a handcarved wooden box) is $180-200. I know someone who gets this bottle for $40 in mexico from where they make it! Can only bring 2 bottles acro9ss the border though so i never get one lol

cazadores- Great reposado, and anejo
Herradura - Good reposado, and blanco
Don Julio- Awesome reposado

Never heard of Patron until I served it 2 years ago.

I believe it is just a marketing scam and that it is not really special except in the USA.

I don't taste anything special with it either.

Somehow it got an expensive name probably through some marketing I missed at some point.

like I said, it's owner by the same guy that owns Paul Mitchell haircare products....if they can get you to pay $30 for mediocre shampoo, why not $40 for mediocre tequila?

I spent some time a while ago trying every kind of tequila I could find locally and came back to my Patron Anejo. I found many that came close, but I liked it the best.

patron silver

for anejo

i like milagro

I tried Milagro for the first time in Mexico and you couldn't get it here until about 2 years ago. I liked it, kind of a salty taste to though. I still like my Patron.

It's interesting to see the responses when anyone asks a question that requires some basic knowledge or understanding of a fine product. Ask about car engines and you get 50 expert replies. Ask about watches, liquor, clothing (suits, jackets, shoes even), and you get the most ignorant answers (save for a few who actually know what they are talking about).

So true. You have to have training and experience to comment on spirits. Flavor wheel FTW!

Don Eduardo. Very tasty.
Well, from this thread I ordered a bottle. I'm sorry but Don Eduardo is not good tequila.

It is drinkable and smooth, but has a very definite whiskey taste. If I taste whiskey, it ain't good tequila.

anyone else? I'm looking to try something different

Two Fingers Tequila

Good reviews except for from the dorky college students that drake too much.
I will try this next along with Don Julio, but what was interesting at this site was their overall reviews found Casa Noble to be #1. At $105 a bottle it better be good. I think I'll pick some up if I can get it here in Michigan. Just don't tell my wife.😉
