So who plays here?!

My sports centre has a Wednesday Tennis club :D can't believe I didn't know about this until last week. I went yesterday and I had a lot of fun.

Played a doubles set, lost, never kept serve :(. Felt very weird to play doubles as I haven't played doubles in years. Didn't feel natural and I wasn't aware of where I was on the court when I was at the net. I'll get use to it.

Played this guy in his mid 40's and I lost 6 - 2 :(. He played insane slices and I just didn't really have much of an answer. I was feeling it for sure. I had trained for about 3.5hrs, swam 18lengths, chilled in the sauna, steam room and then started to play Tennis.

I took a 10-15minute break then played this woman in her 30s I think. I threw away the first game and was down already. I broke back and I eventually won 6 - 2. BUT it took pretty much everything I had to beat her. She wasn't very good but she kept on returning back to me and I was smashed to bits. It felt like my right hand had a 15kg db attached to it as I was swinging the racket.

Pretty excited I'll get to play Tennis every Wednesday :D. I was playing about once a week for about a month but my mate has been too tired to play. I haven't played the last 3-4 week and was rusty as hell :(

I played a lot in high school, but not so much any more. I was #1 on singles and doubles, and competed at the state level. BUt never really got past that. I wasn't very good, but I sure did have a lot of fun.

I haven't really played in probably 10 years. There is a nice court near my house, and I've slowly been talking my girlfriend into wanting to play tennis.

Tennis is one of my favorite sports, just never get to play it often. I get soooo mad seeing empty courts that require a badge or are locked for no reason. NO ONE plays tennis, they should be happy to see courts actually used for a change.

Doubles tennis sucks so bad.

The other thing is finding someone else to play. Most of my mates don't play Tennis so it sucks as you can't play them. My bro plays to a good standard but he works and trains in the evenings and is more focused on that than Tennis. My work out buddy plays Tennis to a good standard but he has been slack so I haven't played in about 3-4 weeks. But now I have my Wednesday Tennis sessions :D Can't wait to get back in to it and get my shots more consistent.

I was in the school team and have played on and off since 12, so about 19rs but have gone years without picking up my fischer racket.

Teach her. It'll be fun for the both of you.
