Tennis 2K2 (Dreamcast) $7.44 at Target B&M

Picked up Tennis 2K2 at Target yesterday on clearance. It was not with the other items on the clearance rack - it was in with the other video games. BB is still selling this for $39, so $7.44 was a pretty good deal. Of course, YMMV.

IMO this game is not worth anything. If you played Virtual Tennis, it's fun, fast, and easy to pickup; this game is slower, worse graphics, and very different playing. The only thing better than Virtual Tennis is the front cover.
 
Nice find..Got it for $20 and change there last month. Wish I could have held out, but it would've been gone by now. Nice find!


And yes, unopened, you can bring back BB. But as pakaderm points out, that is not looked well upon.
 
My gf just picked this up for me for $14.99 at the Target in Fredricksburg, VA. My local Target in NJ have it for $20.99. I don't really like sports game but hearing so much about this game... and how it's THE best DC game, I figure I'll bite.
 
Has anyone else been able to find it similarily priced in other Targets? Or is this a OTP?

I read on another forum that all the 2K2 titles were this price... NBA2K2, NFL2K2, NCAA2K2 etc etc

I'm swinging by their before going in to work today, maybe just maybe I can find deals my Target blows.

I picked up the last one at the Target by my office in Alpharetta, GA. Looked like it was the last dreamcast game period.

 
Hey wesbc - that's the same Target that I gto mine from - in Fredericksburg, VA - tell her to take it back and pricematch, because I bought my copy for $7.44 yesterday!!

Yea, all 2k2's went to clearance at targets. I think they started to go on clearance in late december. But beware, not all targets have the same clearance price. And you can't adjust your clearance price if it dropped within a time period.

2k2 is way better, more players, better course. picked up the game today for 7.44

*IF* your personal Target store has reached the last level of clearance, it's:
Tennis 2K2 - $7.44
NCAA Football 2K2 - $7.44
NFL 2K2 - $9.94
NBA 2K2 - $9.94
 
Does anyone know if the Target's have restocked at all? I'm asking because I checked all of my local Target's a few weeks ago and I was able to get a few things like Tennis 2k2 for $20, NFL 2k2 for $27, NBA 2k2 for $20, but there was really nothing else left.. I had wanted to get Sonic 2, but it was gone. I had it in my hands just a week prior, but it was still at full price, so I didn't get it.

This would be hot if they restocked and if they have these prices... Has anyone experienced Target restocking lately?

would like to ask what baseball 2k2 was. i think it was the first of the 2k2s to go on clearance, but the guy charged me $7.44 each for it and vt2k2, so i didn't want to correct him just yet (i shop at this store a lot--sometimes i even pay full price). today this girl @ the bank gave me a dirty look when i gave her back a quarter that she gave me instead of the nickel i was supposed to get.
so what's the deal on wb 2k2? incidentally marine fishing is $1.94 if you can find it.

WSB 2K2 was $19.99 new.

Dang, $2 for SMF is cheap. I shoulda let em stay on the shelves for a couple more weeks. I bought a few when they were ~$5.
 
Sears has been clearancing out the Dreamcast titles for a while now. They still had a fairly decent inventory the last time I checked (a couple weeks back). I don't own a dreamcast so I don't know whats good and not good. They had that one DANCE game for under $10 )(40%) off of the clearance price at one point... but not all dreamcast games were on the extra 40% table just a few titles. The others were just yellow stickered in the game display case for lukewarm prices.

All joking aside, this is a bad idea if someone is considering it. Best Buy keeps a record of the number of times a person does a no-receipt return, I think the lifetime limit is 3 times. I have unfortunately maxxed out my 3 times with stupid crap I got for Xmas over the years (N64 controller, DVD movie, and one of those rock/waterfall relaxation things) without knowing until I tried to return a VCR last XMas, and they denied me (so I sent my wife in with it, but still 🙂. It's a poor policy on Best Buy's part IMO, it would make more sense to have a per year limit perhaps, but a lifetime limit seems...limiting.

On a somewhat related note, did anyone notice that the 2K2 games have serial #s on them? Wierd.

Salvador, clearance items do not get restocked at target. They just discontinue it.. your best bet is to call another target to see if they have any DC games left.
