Tenn. lawmaker arrested on DUI, gun charges

Of course this has nothing to do with Tennessee lawmaking.

He probably should have waited to drive drunk though until he passed a law legalizing it, later on he could lobby for having a loaded handgun while driving drunk. Drunk drivers need to protect themselves too! lol

LOL :thumbsup::thumbsup:

This is Tennessee - that might be a file picture rather than a mug shot! 😀

"Yes, your honor, I did pass a law that makes it illegal to drink while carrying a loaded gun, and yes, I was drinking and carrying a loaded gun, but in my defense I was drunk at the time."

Every drunk knows that no matter how shit-faced you might be, when pulled over you always claim to have had two drinks. In other news, Gerald McCormick is my state Representative. Go Gerald!

He will be placed on trial in this man's court:

Hahahahahaha, funniest mugshot I've seen in awhile. He looks HAMMERED, I wonder what his BAC was. With a look like that I gotta say it's around 3 times the legal limit.

This is the same guy that sponsored a bill (now law) that permits people to carry firearms into bars. He's walking proof for the stupidty of second amendment maniacs-those that object to any sort of reasonable public safety regulation of firearms.

Guns have been allowed in bars for decades/centuries in many, many states, all without significant problems.

What I demand in my laws is TRUE common sense, not emotional hysteria fueled foolishness.

You know, it's funny how no one even came close to getting shot, the gun remained safely holstered the entire night, and anti-gun types are still up in arms over it. I swear I could walk by a school (on a public road of course) with my Sig in my pocket and several posters here would probably accuse me of planning the next columbine because a small caliber handgun was within 500 feet of a child.

Don't get me wrong the man's an idiot, and for breaking the law he will be punished. The DUI alone is serious business. Justice will be served. In the meantime this man is an example of nothing more than what not to do.

And if all 2nd amendment maniacs are like this, go find me some more. For every story you find I'll post one about a concealed carry permit holder saving a life or deterring a crime. Deal?

...shall not be infringed.
Don't like that statement in the Constitution move to another country.
Simple as that.

Isn't he getting prosecuted for something the same law made illegal (drinking while carrying a gun)?

I am also curious of how many drunken shootouts have taken place in bars due to this bill?

Typical inbred vomit behavior.

Fucking back wood filth makes me sick. He should just drink with his loaded gun on his own land. That way, when he gets hungry after a long night of swigging that thar moonshine, he can down some possum, fire off a few rounds and make sweet love to the donkey has tied to tree with a rope around it's poor neck.

Its always been illegal to carry a gun while intoxicated I believe... could be wrong though. His bill was to allow people to carry guns into bars provided they do not drink alcohol. At present time we don;'t know if he violated his own law. Was the gun in the truck, did he get drunk in a bar with the gun? Dont know that yet. But regardless he needs to resign.

To answer your other questions... there are more shootouts in bars between gang members. In Nashville at least I have yet to see any reports of legal CCW holders shooting each other drunkedly in a bar. Every other weekend however you do here about shootouts in the better establishments downtown.

But fuck me if the Tennessee state republicans aren't screwing the pooch while in power in Tennessee. the repubs have waited since the civil war to have a majority and we keep getting stupid shit from them.
