was that when they were down 3-0?

I woulda thought the odds would have been higher.

I wonder what they were in teh 9th inning of game 4 with only 3 outs left for the yanks to win.

i heard on espn radio that the guy who own's modells (a sporting good store) ordered $1.5mil in yankees league champion shirts and hats after the yanks went up 3-0. then after the sox won the next game, he got a little worried and tried to send someone out to vegas to drop $100k on the red sox (insurance in case yanks lose). turns out... he could not get someone out to vegas in time to place that bet, and ended up burning (yes burning in a fire) those yankees league champion stuff. the guy on the radio said that MLB forbids then to give that stuff out... dunno why exactly. what i dont understand is.... couldn't they have placed a bet by wiring the money?

While I don't completely doubt the story, I find it alittle suspect. If your talking about MLB licensed products, ie LCS shirts and hats, when a store orders them, they aren't ordering the team just the shirts. So if they order the ALCS one, they'll don't order Yankee ones or Boston ones, they order ALCS champion ones, and they come with winner on it. By the way MLB makes both, ready to ship after the series is over, they destroy the ones that don't win. So I sincerely doubt he got stuck with Yankees ALCS gear. Even if he was shipped Yankees ones, MLB will take them back, they won't force you to eat the mistake. Also if its not MLB licensed gear, then MLB cannot say anything to prevent him from selling it.

Its alot like NFL shop gear. Last superbowl they offere Patriot Super Bowl Champion shirts and Panthers Super Bowl Champions shirts before the game began. And told people that if you orderd Panthers gear and they lost, you order would be cancelled.
