I was thinking of purchasing one of these since it's decently priced at $699, and I can get it with the foundation for free. Anyone have any comments on this version of the tempurpedic?

The wife and I have had a queen size original for about 3 and a half years. It's great. If you're obese or very small, then look elsewhere.

i think they are pretty comfortable. Surprised you can get an authenntic tempurpedic for that price. Normally they are much more than that, which is why i'd say for the price a nice pillowtop mattress would be better.

I got my queen set last year for $400 from Cardi's. Needless to say it was one of my hottest buys last year.

They are definitely an acquired taste. I find they get too hot, and I don't love the cocoon feeling they impart. To each his own, though, and many people love them. That is a great price for a Tempurpedic-branded mattress.

I've slept on the real deal TP and a knockoff brand and they were both great.

They do become quite warm though. This is not a problem if you have good A/C in the warmer months of the year. It's awesome when it's cold. :)
