Temps too high?

My retail PIII 450 runs 55-60C at full load. Do I need new cooling? Also, when I set the FSB to 133Mhz I get a windows protection error. Is this because of my RAM?

If those are your true temps then they are very high they are higher then my t-bird andit is way overclocked...So yes you need much better cooling......And your ram if it is cheap pc-100 some of them wont run a 133

Yes. 55-60C is hot for a PIII. You should consider getting some better cooling. What are you using now?

Right now i'm using the retail HS/F.

try to keep the temp below 50C at most

That is pretty warm for a p3, even for the retail heatsink. How is your case cooling?

I have a small enlight case with a fan in front and a fan in the PSU.

You might want to find room for another exhaust fan near the cpu.

A new heat sink and fan would not help very much if it is blowing the hot air in you case.. cut a blow hole on the side of your case so it blows on you heat sink and fan the cut a hole on top of your case blowing out and use 80mm fans that will make a huge temp difference plus it looks cool.....
