Hey guys, just got my new computer yesterday and although i know what temps to expect after OCing (from these forums), what im at now seems kinda hot to me stock.... dont wanna fry my chip the frist freaking time i try to OC!
My setup:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz
Asus CPU Cooler Silent Square Pro Extremely Cool
2048 MB DDR II 800 Memory (OCZ Reaper)
eVGA 680i LT SLI
Western Digital 250GB 7200RPM
BFG 8800 GTX OCE 768 MB GDDR3
NZXT Hush Case
Power Supply 700 Watt Thermaltake Tough Power Extreme
My Temps (just sitting on the desktop, no programs ect. running)
Processor Temperature: 38
Core 1 - 44
Core 2 - 44
Core 3 - 42
Core 4 - 43
GPU - 65
* No idea why it gives me a "processor temp" of less than the 4 cores averaged, and these readings are all in celsius from PC Wizard 2008 program
So ya... is that hot for stock speed? The room its in is at 22 degrees, stock voltage on CPu of 1.17 and i got the chasis fan at 5k rpm
