Temps on MB?

HI

I running an ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe and are ahving the common problem with it, the chipset-fan! Normally it runs around 6000 rpm but now it's down around 1500-2000 rpm.

I've got a new heatsink for it but the thing is that i've installed a Arctic silencer on my OC'ed Graphicboard so the new heatsiknk wont fit under it!

ATM the temps on my MB is stabile around 33 C when idle and rises to arund 34-36 C under full load.

Are these temps too high?

At wich temps are is the MB starting to take damage? When is it too high?

thank you

I haven't checked what too high is, but mine was sounding like a tortured cat tonight so I took the fan all the way off, and flipped one of the fans in the door of my XaserIII to point down at it. With seven case fans the thing is pretty much a wind tunnel anyway. I have a Coolermaster fan arriving on Monday that I'll take the fan off and mount on it if possible.

Those little fans were a big mistake by Asus.

The temp is normal. Your fan is spinning a little slow. It is probably the start of its death. I had gone through 2 relacement fans from Asus. The 3rd one ended up being a charm however. Asus has finally re-designed the fan. You can call them and they will send you out the new fan at nc. I have it in my comp right now. It runs quiet and has a cool looking design.
