Marmite = Marmalade.

No it doesn't.

But reminds me of it more so than Vegemite.

Thank about it.

:confused:

Marmalade rocks. My brother recently introduced me to lime marmalade. Holy shit that stuff is awesome. BTW I'm actually not a big Marmite fan, unlike most Kiwis I think Vegemite is much better.

"Sammich" is just as fucking annoying to me...I understand it from a 5 year old...but just about anyone else sounds retarded as hell if they call a "sandwich" a "sammich."

Seriously. Marmalade is pretty cool.

Vegemite is different from Marmite eh? Never had either, personally.

Do people actually say this? I sometimes say 'sammich' playfully around my friends, but are there adults who really pronounce it like this?

Dude, New Zealanders don't pronounce anything correctly......

This isn't an accent thing. People are skipping an entire syllable, and it sounds ridiculous.

The WORST English accent I've heard is definitely New Zealand. It's bad in a subtle sort of way. They always mess up the ends of words.

The worst word of them all is "idea," or "idear" if you're from New Zealand.

:laugh: At least we can pronounce the difference between 'D' and 'T', unlike every American I've ever met :)

Now go get me a boddle of beer from the addick fridge.

Yep. Honestly, we have *so many* sets of wildly different accents and pronunciations here in the US, it's hard to keep track. The horrible drawls of the mid-south, the insane ramblings of the gang-bangers, the mentally-vacant valley girl vocabulary, we've got it all.

In the Southern states they say "temper chair". ;)

How do you say strontium? Potentiometer? Those have ch in them as well. So you pronounce Pentium as PEN-TEE-UM or PENTY-CHUM? :laugh:

I got an email Friday requesting some "pitchers" from a security camera system. It is bad enough when they mispronounce it, gah.
