Temperature software accurate?

i have downloaded 4 different software programs that show your temp, they are

cpucool 7.0.9, HMonitor 4.0.3.1,MotherBoard Monitor 5 and MBProbe.

they are really hard to understand but on 1 or 2 i saw a temp degree and im guessing its my cpu

the temp is 22.2*C but the thing is i only have a volcano 2 hsf!

are these accurate or what?

specs

800mhz duron
volcano2 hsf

22c (71f) is not your cpu temp. It is probably ambient from somewhere towards the front end of you motherboard. I have used Motherboard Monitor. I do not like it as much as MBProbe. You may have to select a different sensor in the properties to get the correct readings. Mine is within about a degree with what the temp readout is in the bios. I run aboout 29c on a Duron 900 and 34c on a 1.2 Athlon. Both have CoolerMaster hsf's.
