BUY?! Bah. Motherboard Monitor. Easy to use, very configurable, works fine for most boards (Gets wierd readings on a few), and uses almost no resources (It usues some...my 3DMark2k1 score goes down about 50 using it...I'm afraid that from normally getting 9675, 50 marks won't worry me as much as my CPU temp and voltages)
MBM is accurate enough to tell you if somethings temp is too high, but if you want to know exactly down to 3 decimal places how hot something is, get something hardware.
I've got a DigitalDoc 5. I don't OC so it's really not necessary, but I'm a stats freak.
I use the motherboard monitor to check things, too. I've got one of the DigitalDoc5 temp probes between the fins on my CPU heatsink. The temp reported by the probe and the motherboard monitor match up pretty close.
