Just got my T-bird 1.4 up and running, at the moment it just runs at 1050mhz since i havent done anything except
plugging it in. I was just wondering how much the temperature on the cpu raises if you change to 1.4 ghz?

right now im at a steady 51celcius (if i configured the temp program right ;) It sounds kinda high doesnt it?

are there any simple programs out there to measure heat on the cpu when there is some load on it?

Enable the fsb 133 jumper to get 1400. Your cpu temp shouldn't change that much. 51 celcius is about average. The best way to reduce temps is with a good case fan in both the front and rear. The power supply should have plenty of open vents around the cover on at least 2 sides. Cheap ps will not have many vents.

At 51C seems nice. At 1.4 Ghz...I would say another 2C increase in temp. But it still OK. Go, hit 1.4 Ghz.

Enjoy.
