I am glad someone asked this. I was gonna start a thread.

I added three hard drives to my system last night. Gives me a total of FIVE. I also have... Well, I would REALLY appreciate it someone would look at my main squeeze in my sig to see my system.

\my case. please scroll down to see the internal pics.

new heatsink put in last night.

power supply put in last night.

motherboard

My temps are:

Motherboard 23C (73F)
CPU 58C (137F)
Aux 30C (86F)
Room temp is approx 70-75 F

I used to leave my system on 24/7 but last night I turned it off, cause the temp made me nervous. Is there anything I should be doing or something I need to add? Or is this temp fine with the system I have?

thanks!

🙂

well, your mobo looks fine, so I guess, if you worried about your cpu make sure you installed it correctly and correctly applied the interface. Other than that, its still operatable.

Fear my Temps:

CPU - 50C
MB - 35C

I am thinking that there is too much thermal paste on the heatsink. A little package of paste came in the heatsink box, and the b/f used the ENTIRE package. I understand that could cause higher temps. I wiped some of it off, but am wondering if I did not get enuf off.

But will that sort itself out, or do I need to remove the heatsink and wipe some more away?

🙂

It is better to completely clean everything and reapply the interface. You should probably buy some Arctic Silver, its very cheap.
