Temp probe ?

I want to buy a reliable temp probe that I can use to check my cpu temps vs what the mother board is reporting under MBM5. Any suggestions ? I'd like one that displays on an backlite LCD that will fit a 3.5 inch front mounted bay so I can see the readout at night during those long gaming sessions 😀

Unfortunately there is no way to accurately measure your cpu temp with a probe. The cpu is hottest inside the core and the best you can do is put a temp probe next to it. If you cpu has a heatspreader then the probe will be even more useless.

And I currently have a temp probe under the core on My FX-55 but I have a special probe that is talked about in the above thread.

It's possible to put a temp probe under Your CPU core between the socket and CPU.
