Temp of CPU OK?

My CPU runs at ~50 degrees C at idle. Is this normal at all? If it isn't normal is it hurting the CPU? It just seems a little high to me. It is an AMD Athlon 64 3400+.

For an A64, that temp's fine.

thats fine...you dont need to worry until it gets to 60 or 65

My 3500 winchester is idling @ 35c with stock HSF. I think the Newcastles run a bit warmer.

i've newcastle 3500+, while writing the temp is 49-53 deg cel...so yours seems ok..well i seem to reach 57 yest while playing...bad?
