I'm not going to pull them out. Most the people posting in all the xbox1/ps4/etc threads knows it too. If you want to pick apart the post to try to prove a point, be my guest, but it doesn't change it.

Considering I've been victim of it, I'm going to have to agree with Impulse. Making a point isn't the same as being a fanboy, but you pull that card anyway.

I will give MS credit on this one though, they actually practiced some strategic thinking with the XBone and Kinect and completely beat Google to the punch on this one. MS has managed to go Minority Report with their ability to serve up ads to people and use the Kinect to judge how effective the ads are. This is going to be a gold mine for MS in the advertising front.

Google is even floating the idea of their own little console and their smart TV crap to try and get some of this advertising money.

On this front good for MS, they are less evil than Google when it comes to advertising spying. Not sure if they will be after a few years of XBone vitals monitoring during tampon commercials.

I personally like the idea of a Kinect like experience. Problem is I have a huge doubt the implementation will be any good, especially out the gate.

I liked some of the Kinect ideas on current console but the games just suck at fully grasping what the user is doing. It's also just the nature of the beast... they're writing purely logical code to interperet a user that has free will. But even with examining the player with have a list of pre-determined actions, it's still not very accurate.

I personally don't mind ads as long as they give me stuff I'm interested in.

That is far from the same thing. I'm talking about paid space where companies plaster product advertising. Not a game themed around a product or place.
