I know there are plenty of threads like this in here, but I don't have the time or energy to sort through them all. Here are the details:

- I am looking for 3 or 4 80mm case fans, and 2 90mm case fans.
- I am replacing ones I have now (Sunon stock) because they are LOUD.
- New fans must be as quiet as can possibly be. I do not know how to decipher the decibel ratings.
- Price range? I'd like to spend around $30-$40 in all for all fans I will need.
- No grill covers will be needed.
- Amount of air pushed isn't important, as long as it does, indeed, push some air. :D

Thanks for any info and links you can provide to fans that have been proven to be the quietest and most efficient.

if you don't want to think too much about it, just get panaflos

if where you shop carry NMB fans get those, they are very quiet too

Panaflo L1a 80mm fans are excellent for this purpose. You can buy four of them at BGMicro for about $3.19 a piece. With four fans you would have about 50cfm of airflow with a tolerably quiet 28dB. For the 92mm fans I would also buy two Panaflo L1a's.

Make sure you get L1as though as there are also M1as and H1as (low, medium and high if you are wondering) which are noticeably louder. One M1a 80mm is as loud as four L1as 80mm!

EDIT: Sorry, I forgot above that the BGMicro fans are 2-pin. So the mobo header would work but you will need an adapter for Molex.

No worries. I noticed the fans were a 2-pin, and would have to get some adapters.
