Tell me something, why are semi-automatic weapons "evil"?

Kind of whenever the media mentions semi-automatic weapons, there is a frenzy of "eek!! those evil weapons, ban them!!"

Don't people realise that semi-automatic simply means that bullets are loaded automatically into the barrel prior to firing? How is that "evil" lol? So it's different to an 18th/19th century musket in which the shot/ball had to be manually loaded on every shot.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think people beyond the armed forces or police need guns in modern society, but it doesn't make sense to label semi-automatic weapons as "bad" compared to other firearms.

It's because in general semi automatic rifles look scary.

Especially if they are black, have pistol grip and a long looking magazine.

The Second Lateran Council under Pope Innocent II in 1139 banned the use of crossbows, as well as slings and bows, against Christians

eh? The US military uses a standard issue automatic weapon. So automatic weapons are "less evil" than semi-automatic? lol..

And what is an assault rifle? er.. isn't ANY weapon by definition designed to hurt, kill and injure people? lolol..

Because people are too stupid to research anything for themselves and therefore accept the shit that the main stream media spoon feeds them.

They're not evil, although some people use them for murderous purposes.

The issue is keeping weapons out of those peoples' hands.

There is a lot of disagreement about how to do that.

Technically, almost every handgun made since the late 1800s has been semi-automatic...

But to answer your question, it is because you touch yourself at night.

He knows this because he was spying on you thru the evil scope of his semi-automatic.

I still don't get the fear.

OK, so most guns available today are like those the Union/Confeds used in the Civil War, where you had to load the shot in the barrel?

Frankly most guns you can get today are semi-automatic.

No, they're not designed to "hurt, kill, and injure people." They're certainly capable of doing that, but every firearm I own is designed to kill deer, or squirrels, or turkeys, or other wild game.

I'm pretty sure this includes but not limited to Indians and other homosapiens.

Who is saying semi automatic weapons are evil? All the talk I've heard is about assault weapons (which are designed for the sole purpose of killing a lot of people in a short amount of time), and I agree that civilians don't need them.

Really?.....the fact the weapon is made to spread as many bullets of death as possible and you are wondering why they are called evil?...
