Read this and tell me how much luck I have with computers: I basically just want to give up.
Last summer, I was building a computer for my dad, had extra parts just needed to get him a cpu and motherboard. So I needed to build this fast so I went down to the local store and just bought a AMD k6-2 475 and an MSI-5169 mobo. At the time I got a deal because I knew someone working there and only had to throw down like $200 for it.(not a bad price at the time). Well I put the computer together, and the MSI site had the wrong jumper settings, and my motherboard fried. The thing went on fire, killing the cpu also. There goes $200. So I had to buy the parts over again cause he needed a computer. Now recently, I have this amd k6-2 500 mhz computer. It kept giving me problems, so I decided to buy a new system. So with the limited money I had, i put down all I could for an Abit be-6 II, and i bought a p2-450 off my friend for cheap. I wanted to learn about overclocking so a few months later, I got enough money for a celeron 700 mhz. Low and behold the motherboard wouldnt over-clock 1 mhz if i tried, and my floppy drive wouldnt work. After debugging for hours and asking help on forums nothing could be solved. But I was happy to have a 700 mhz system that was semi-stable. But I noticed my TV-card on pci slot 3, always caused page faults. So I figured there was a memory protection violation. So I removed the tv card and placed it in a different slot. low and behold I could overclock again! I was real happy. I was able to overclock up to 875 mhz! Then one day, for no reason the computer wouldnt boot. Again with my luck, it seems, the mobo fried, cant for the life of me think why, but my ram, vid card (64 mb VIVO ddr), all got fried. I dont know about the processor, cant test it really. So there goes all my money again, and for a reason unknown. So FINALLY, i get some money for my birthday this saturday. So I bought an IWILL KA266 mobo 1.2 ghz 266 Tbird, 256 MB ddr ram, dvd rom, 40 gb MAxtor 7200 ata 100 hd. Wow, now im broke, but I was really happy to finally get a good system, so I can finally game again. The prdocuts arrive. The t-bird has a chip on it on the heat dissapation unit, the packaging was horrible, it was in a little broken crate with no foam or anything, and this is from newegg.com. I was sorely upset. But I being ambitious still put together the system, and upon putting in my ram, the clip that holds the ram chip in place falls off. I cant get a break at all with computers. So these are my woes, now I have 4 worthless computers in my arsenal, and no money. Im waiting on a RMA from newegg, but CPU RMA's are only 7 days, and they havent replied to me yet, and its on day 7. So it looks like I may be getting screwed once again. All I want is just a nice system, where I can get 80 fps playing counter-strike, thats all....never will the day come I guess.

Dude, I can beat you. My son is here right now so I can't really type the whole story. When I have some time I'll be back and I'll tell you my story. I can tell you right now, I have bad luck, really bad luck. Just recently like two days ago I had to buy a new A7V133 because I gouged the traces going to the ram slots on my other board. LoL, thats just some of it.

One of my p2-300's fried and Intel sent me a slower fan for the heatsink(it WAS a dual processor system). How's that for a warranty?

PS: They never intended to replace it despite the fact that it was covered under warranty, although the ups box it came in is great for holding CDs.:)

That's pretty much my only major comp problem soo far...
