I was going to suggest it too, given the requirements. Easily found in stores, $10 a bag, and they do not let it stay on the shelves more than 90 days. The manager gave me $2 coupons for it, so I gave the whole bean French Roast a go, surprisingly tasty.

I like a good quality medium roast Centrals, like Sumatra or Kenya AA, and Columbian coffee.

Coffee goes stale fairly quickly. Most people are use to drinking stale coffee. Buy coffee in small amounts and keep it stored air tight containers.

Use a clean coffee brewer* and good quality water. Pour out any coffee that is older than two hours.

*Run the cleanable brewer parts through the dishwater every day or so. Coffee oils coat everything and build up, turn rancid quickly and make your coffee taste like crap.

I've been drinking this: http://www.cafebritt.com/website/poas-volcanic-earth?aff=GOO001&gclid=CLKHnKT61p4CFaM45QodhD_PrA

Didn't pay that much for it, I have a buddy from Costa Rica that gets it on the cheap from his folks.

Pretty damn good coffee.
I have been buying from them since the 90's. Did the factory tour on my 1st trip there surfing and site seeing. They are another one that does not roast it till you place your order. It is 4-5 biz days to my door in Fl, so always very fresh tasting.

If you know any jamaicans:

Best coffee I've ever had is Blue Mountain (from the Blue Mountains in Jamaica). It was so good that I brought like 10 lbs of it home with me when I was there for spring break about 5 years ago. But it's expensive in the states...I don't know where you can get it or how much it is to buy the grounds, but I know that it's usually $10+ per cup at specialty coffee shops.

This. The INSTANT blue mountain from jamaica is better than anything I've ever tasted. Its like silk. I happen to know several folks who regularly visit and I'm always begging a pound or 2. I typically cut it like 1/3 -2/3 with a basic coffee like 8 o'clock bean - columbian. It makes it MUCH MUCH better.

Anything you can get in the states doesn't compare. Its not the same stuff I'm convinced.

I love Arabica Breakfast Blends...lots of different kinds.

Green Mountain makes a good brew too, used to try a new flavor of theirs every week in my French Press.

Lost my French Press in a move though (really miss it. 🙁 ) buuut the other week I found my pod coffee maker. Just had a Senseo Cappuccino, not the best ever but pretty good for the price and convenience!

Been trying to drink good coffee on the cheap lately (budget even tighter than it has been with Christmas) and I find a local company (Lexington Coffee Company) to have some mean brews.

...still miss my French Press though, it could make a perfect..PERFECT cup of coffee. I really want one of these

i prefer Tetley Orange Pekoe tea.

Got some good Orange Pekoe straight from Assam in my cupboard. Good stuff, but I think I like coffee just as much.

Love various green and white teas more than coffee, but teas and coffee I like at different times of the day so I drink both regularly.
