Im talking about shows that were canceled not that ended.
The three that come to my mind are....

Arrested Developement - This was in my opinion the funniest show since seinfeld, if not more then seinfeld, they won a handful of emmys and fox still shut them down. On sunday nights I would see 3 to 4 commercials for simpsons family guy and american dad and they were on that very night. I honestly cant remember one commercial for arrested developement. bad move FOX

Family Guy - Although it was brought back by fox due to high dvd sales, the show has lost its luster. The first 3 seasons were awesome, the 4th and 5th seasons have been hit or miss. There are a few good episodes but nothing like it once was.
I couldnt even tell you what day of the week this was on before fox brought it back. Way to go again fox.

Ed - Unlike the other 2 shows this show had more to offer then just comedy. It ran an hour long on NBC and was hilarious. It was about a lawyer who moved home and bought the local bowling alley. It also had a love story involved with it although Thomas Cavanagh was the main character Michael Ian Black really made this show shine.
Kinda like Dwight and Michael from The Office. I barely even heard of this show. I only started watching it because my girlfriend made me watch it with her. You made a mistake NBC

Anyway what shows do you think were a victim of bad marketing?

And Please if you've come to argure, dont bother posting, this is opinions not fact.

Arrested Developement did not have many ads as it cost a lot of money to make. If the cost were lower they might have kept it longer. Family guy, american dad, etc... even with low ratings Fox knows they are cheap and will have great sales on DVDs and other channels.

Firefly is a good one to mention.

Horribly mismanaged by Fox. Hmm.. I'm noticing a trend here. :D

Arrested Development cost alot of money to make? They must have been paying the actors alot because that production of the show itself didn't look all that expensive (not like you'd see out of an effects driven adventure or sci-fi show).

What I don't understand, is one of the heads of Universal, loved the show and is the one that got it made into a movie. Why didn't she take it to Universals TV dept and get them to continue the show, seeing as how fox dropped it.

Wonderfalls

Clerks: The Animated Series
They REALLY botched this one up, they only showed a few episodes, and they showed them in the wrong order. One of them was a flashback episode that referred to an episode that they hadn't actually shown yet.

The movie didn't perform well in the box office (or DVD sales, if it wen't straight to DVD, I don't know), maybe that's why?

Edit: Oh, and Firefly++

Fox dropped the TV show, but not the TV rights, Universal got the film rights, but couldn't get the TV rights I think.
