Wow who would have thought, honestly would not have figured that would cause such an issue. I guess when the A/C compressor starts the loop was causing inductance or something. Electricity can be weird sometimes. :p

Seriously, I'm glad I posted those pictures, I would have gone crazy otherwise.

This is why I love the internet.

Well, I rejoiced too soon. Still going on. I disconnected the power splitter, went straight through, have it on a standard splitter. Still happening. Gonna try a different HDMI cable. Problem is I I have so many cables I don't know which to try first, and one runs inside the wall.

After cables I guess I'll try and do the caps previously mentioned although I have no idea what they are or what to do lol

Further update, I swapped out all HDMIs and still same issue. Now if someone clicks any of the bathroom exhaust fans on/off it also happens. Probably did before too and I just didn't notice. Is that another symptom of these "caps" that were spoken of? This is the only TV with the issue now, the bedroom the does not happen at all

I would get a decent UPS with power regulation, allways good to protect your TV anyway.

At this point I think you need to start investigating the potential of old Indian burial grounds on your property.

The worst part is that my house is a new build, everything should be fine. Def has to be the TV at this point, it's about 9 years old Philips 47".

I'm a little timid about cracking it open and soldering, since I have no experience in either

I have seen a customer owned Amplifier sending too much signal strength to their cable equipment. The problem was solved when the amplifier was taken out of the loop and the signal strength dropped to a level that was within the specification of the the equipment.

It's probably not exactly the same situation as yours but perhaps taking the amplifier out of the loop temporarily and splitting the incoming signal less might provide some insight to your problem.

It might be but just your tv but have you tried your TV at someone else's place or if you have and inverter or UPS that can power it on with to test it? Also a new 50 phillips is around $380 at walmart.

What model is it again?

I should have mentioned since the picture was taken, I have disconnected the power amp and gone to a standard splitter with the issue still occurring

47PFL5704D. I don't have a UPS to test it with, nor have I wanted to take it off the wall to bring somewhere else, it wasn't the lightest flat screen lol

the same splitter as before?

My bad for not reading the whole thread... at this point I'd think it is a power issue that may have affected your TV as others have suggested...

ImpulsE69 in post #7 has imo a helpful troubleshooting suggestion if you have not tried that yet.

good luck.

I would focus on the AC's motor capacitor rather than messing with the mess of wires.

the same splitter as before?

New one provided by optimum. Was having issues with the internet which was attributed to the 90 degree coax connectors and they said the power amp could also cause issues (even though the cable that went to the modem was split before that amp)

I'm playing catch up on this. That was going to be my suggestion. Coax signal amplifiers aren't typically needed unless you're dealing with over the air signals or doing extremely long runs....when you use an amplifier, the power source is required or you get little/no signal on the other side. You also want this to be as close to the signal source as possible (meaning, the cable company typically amplifies their signal already)

Honestly, if you're having problems with this, your best bet is to test the cable. I'd see if you can get a 50' run of coax or whatever it takes and run it through the hallway....bypass your current cables one at a time until you can make it work. That will help you isolate the problem. Even if the problem isn't a break in the cable, bad or poorly terminated connectors can cause weird issues.

Well the power amp was installed as part of my project, because as of yesterday we officially cut the cable so the power amp is for the OTA signal now. Cable into the house went in to a 2way, 1 out to the modem and one to the amp.

I did run and terminate one coax inside the wall. (From bottom to top to split the connection on the bottom) I'm going to double check these terminations and cable tonight if I can

Looking at the posted picture , it looks like you have 120 V yellow romex wire running along with your signal wires. from the top conduit and out the left side. First thing I would do is turn off that circuit and see if the problem disappears. If it is the feed for that box coming back in the bottom , run an extension cord to power the box and see if that does it.

I have finally found the cause to the problem. My HDMI switch was the culprit as it did not support HDCP 2.2, even though I was not streaming 4K, it still presented an issue. Replaced the box and all was good.

I didn't make the connection that I had the Shield connected directly to the TV when the app was working fine, and then hadn't used the app for sometime after connecting to the switch. Just fixed this on Sunday!

I guess the switch I was using just couldn't handle the voltage dips?
