I'm almost 55 years old, not quite an old fart yet but getting there. Yesterday I was on the bus just before 4pm when about 30 high school students boarded the vehicle at a stop near a school. They filled the bus and were so agitated. Some listened to their iPods loud enough for me to hear the music ten feet away. And they talked, and talked, and talked, and talked, and talked, so loud, even the girls. An incessant flood of barely articulated sounds and grunts. And they were waving their arms like Cantonese fish market merchants. And shoving and hitting each other. It was overwhelming. I felt like standing and yelling SHUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!! I think I know a little bit what the world feels like to an autistic person now. 🙁
