Apparently, earthly laws and governments command greater authority and a sense of responsibility than your own family. Your own parents and family are your blood...the same blood that runs in your veins. Does that mean anything to you? Where I come from, a man is nothing without the respect/support of his family. The specific text reads, "...unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana, or any depressant, stimulant, or narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance."

I would imagine that a court would interpret that as meaning that past usage, provided that said past usage had fully ceased, would not render one ineligible to own a firearm. However, lying on the 4473 would be a federal crime, so the use would have had to have ended prior to applying for a firearm and any use after taking possession of the firearm would render one immediately ineligible to own said firearm.

Lol yea someone is not a happy camper. I mean I understand being loyal to family, and I'd never rat out a family member unless it was something like premeditated murder because if my sibling plotted the murder of someone I'd kinda be concerned and want them to get some kind of help. Well actually it depends on if they had a good reason or not... but yea there is nothing else I'd ever turn family in for really.
