I believe him as much as I believe the president.

And given the chance, would you sit down with Frankenstein's monster, or would you rather cling to your "guns"?
Because there is only one path that leads to an opportunity to close the gap between the "others".
Believe him or not, you cannot afford not to try for peace.

It is possible to seek and even gain redemption, but it needs to be bought by consistent action. I doubt he'll live up to it, but I hope he will.

Word. Anyone who thinks they aren't included needs a bracing session in front of my man Moonie's mirror.

Honestly, my only real frustration with moonie is that he doesn't seem to put the same scrutiny on himself as he does others. We all need to accept that we do not know all the answers before we even know the questions.

He's a volatile person. It won't last. He is so much like my dead brother-in-law (he's not dead, I just call him that). He'll be threatening a Dem the very next time he whips his guns out. That's one of the biggest reasons he owns guns after all. It certainly tells me all I need to know about that particular person's manhood/manliness.

Conservatives are actually the most truly liberal ass hats around. You know if the religitards would take the time to actually read their book they'd see that even God states that life doesn't begin until birth.

Yeah ole Ted suddenly realized this isn't a one sided fight. Sounds scared to me. Plenty of left-wing anti-government kooks locked and loaded too.

Please. Have a sense of proportion. Hodgkinson is an extreme outlier. Libs aren't generally gun owners & independents aren't generally left of Dems-

Right wingers have been armed to the teeth & raving about second amendment solutions for decades. They're also organized into a loose confederation of militias & other groups via the internet. The most extreme crawled out from under their rocks & howled for Trump. I shudder to think what would be going on in their heads had Clinton won the electoral college while losing the popular vote.

It's so hard to get that message across because, men especially, are very competitive, one of the sick gifts of our culture, and any reference to having any kind of issue that could be bettered isn't heard as good advise meant to help people, but as an attack on the ego. This is because we are unconscious of our self contempt and project it onto other people thinking that they are seeing what we are actually feeling about ourselves.. It is why you can't even look at some people without triggering a violent reaction.

Old age among many other things, can burn out a lot of the things about ourselves that we substituted for real self love, our foolish vanities of all manner. Another of the paradoxes that appear with knowledge is that loss is often gain. You can lose everything that is false but never anything that is real, like, for example, the fact we were created, or created God if you like, in (our, His) image.

I don't know why you say this because the scrutiny I put others under, my ability to see them as they are, comes from no other place that having seen all that in myself. Do you think that seeing something makes you free of it. I wouldn't go all the way down that road if I were you, though, because it definitely helps. 🙂

He's quoting Nugent. The resulting juxtaposition of Nugent's previous words where he said exactly the sort of thing he's now condemning creates a rare and beautiful combination we call irony.

The only thing I am absolutely certain of is my uncertainty. I do not have the answers, but as long as I am not sure, I will look for evidence and be willing to change my mind if better evidence presents itself.

Dear Ted-

You & a plethora of right wing mouthpieces have been dishing it out for decades. Let's see how well you can take it.

Sincerely,

America

"Take it", you mean like the shooting? Because, aside from escalation, what else do you intend with such a statement?
